Man Killed In Auto Train Crash At Oberlin
Arthur Brumby a 21 year old Oberlin resident and state highway department employee was killed at 2 05 AM when his car struck a southbound Wheeling and Lake Erie freight train at the Route 20 crossing west of Oberlin. The train crew noted the time at 2 05 AM and learned of the wreck later from a gas station operator. Brumby, who would have turned 22 on May 19, is survived by his parents and two brothers Mervin and Lyndon. His body was taken to Sedgeman Funeral Home, Oberlin, pending funeral services.
