Safety forces top pay earners in North Ridgeville 2011
Eight of North Ridgeville’s top ten earners in 2011 were safety officers. Fire Chief Richard Miller led with 120232, followed by Police Capt. Allan Dent at 119506 after 38 years on the force. Other top earners included Assistant Fire Chiefs Scott Bement and John Reese and Police Chief Michael Freeman.

North Ridgeville High School students Jenna Yost 17 won first place in the VFW Post 9871 Voice of Democracy essay contest. Nick Vilagi 17 took second and Alyssa Riley a 14 year old freshman placed third, with a reception honoring the winners.
