Helen Y Nimick aged 85 of North Ridgeville died February 8 2006 after a long illness. Born in Mansfield she lived in Olmsted Township before moving to North Ridgeville in 1997. She worked 15 years as an epauquer at Morgan Lithograph in Cleveland and was active in Shepherd of the Ridge Lutheran Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include son Roberd Jr and daughters Barbara Judith Carole 26 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren with a wake and funeral set at David Bogner Family Funeral Home and burial at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Memorials to St Jude.

Cincinnati coroner says a 1 year old named Johannas Pope died of heart disease. Her body sat in a chair before a television for years, slowly mummified by a failing air conditioner. A caregiver had laid out clothes per the deceased’s wish not to be buried, while relatives lived downstairs. Police found the body January 4. The two month air conditioner breakdown led to a strong odor, and the coroner noted no foul play.

Lorain man indicted for aggravated robbery and crimes
Lorain resident Robert Earry JohnsonTr Un, of West 40th Street, faces an aggravated robbery indictment for a December home invasion in which he forced a couple to drive to two ATMs and withdraw 160. He also faces aggravated burglary theft kidnapping receiving stolen property and firearm counts. Police say he entered via an unlocked door on Madison Avenue and fled in the couple’s car after the ATM stop. Johnson, who previously served five years for three burglaries, was jailed after the December incident.
