Potter murder shocks Cleveland political circle
William E. Potter former Cleveland councilman and Republican leader was found murdered in an east side apartment a few hours before a perjury trial. A blond woman and a short dark man were taken for questioning in the case. Police suspect hired gunmen and a cover up tied to land graft and playground fraud schemes. Coroner said Potter died five days earlier from a gunshot wound to the temple.

Man fatally stabbed after quarrel over debt
Nick Muhich, 42, is expected to face murder charges in the stabbing death of Mike Zawalski, 55, at a Stop 7 residence near Vincent School.
