Open House at Lorain County JVS Showcases Career Programs
Lorain County Joint Vocational School opens its doors to students and parents for an in depth look at career technical programs across building trades business marketing health care culinary manufacturing and transportation. Alayna Rand 10 of Elyria builds a haunted house in the carpentry department during the annual open house in Pittsfield Township. Woman Injured In Pitts Road Crash
A Wellington woman, Elyse Kurianowicz, 25, was flown to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland after her 2002 Ford Focus skidded off Pitts Road north of Peck Wadsworth Road, overturned, and landed on her while she was ejected and trapped. Police indicated no alcohol or drugs were suspected and the crash is under investigation.

Two men arrested after Sunday shooting in Elyria
Police say a 31 year old man was shot twice at 416 Third Street and flown to MetroHealth in Cleveland where he was listed in fair condition. D Arron Dasi 18 and Aaron Streets 24 were arrested on felonious assault and related charges as detectives followed up a suspect vehicle.
