Magee Reaches 1000 Wins as Philly U Coach No. 2 in NCAA History
Philadelphia University coach Herb Magee earned his 1,000th career win with an 80 60 victory over Post, the second NCAA men's basketball coach to reach the milestone. Magee, 73, achieved all 1,000 wins over 48 seasons at the small Philadelphia campus, with two tries after a recent loss. The celebration drew former Gov Ed Rendell and others, as banners were unveiled and Magee credited fan support for the milestone.
