Rain on the Moon and the Human Dream
Gary Gerrone, Naturalist Supervisor for Lorain County Metro Parks, reflects on childhood songs about rain on the moon and the space race. He muses on humanity's reach, astronauts' risks and rewards, and whether rain could fall on Mars as dreams push beyond Earth.

Youthful hunters drive disproportionate injuries in Ohio
Ohio state figures show 32 accidental shooting injuries last year among 44 000 teen licenses. Four incidents involved hunters age 19 or younger, the fewest since the 1950s, despite ongoing season injuries. Experts credit safety programs and laws for a steady decline from 1988 peaks. There is no age limit for hunting in Ohio but minors must be accompanied and pass a safety course before license purchase.
