Rest Home kitchenette destroyed by daytime fire
Fire of undetermined origin around noon yesterday destroyed a kitchenette in a rear apartment of a frame dwelling converted to Carters Rest Home on North Main Street. Water and heavy smoke damaged other rooms. patients were evacuated safely before flames reached the rest of the building. No injuries or loss estimate announced.

Firemen Stop Fuel Flow In Huron Street Stove Fire
A defective oil heating stove in the first floor living room of 134 Huron street caused a small blaze yesterday evening. Quad Company No. 1 and Engine Co.
