William Snearer Dies Former Elyria Merchant at 90
William Snearer 90 died at his home 4930 Euclid Avenue East Cleveland on Saturday afternoon from old age. He lived in Cleveland from age three, later moved to Elyria to run Swearer and Waldeck furniture, owned a building at Middle Avenue and Broad Street, and built a Cleveland real estate fortune. He was the oldest member of the Masonic lodge in Elyria. Survived by son Charles Snearer, son William, wife Gle two. Funeral Tuesday at Wade Mortuary Chapel Elyria.
