Clarkson says From Justin to Kelly contract forced role
American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson says she was contractually obligated to star in the 2003 film From Justin to Kelly. She describes reading the script as bad but signing the contract left no escape, and reveals she fought for creative control while writing Breakaway, leading to a split with management as she heads to the Grammys with nominations for best pop vocal performance and best pop vocal album.
