House approves insurance bill over Tafts wish
The Ohio House approved a plan requiring mental health coverage in health insurance, with a last minute clause allowing employers to drop coverage if costs rise more than one percent. The 52 to 40 vote faced opposition from several Republicans including Rep. Bari Martin. Governor Taft favored a moratorium on mandates, while Rep. Lynn Olman defended the measure as ending discrimination and cutting long term costs.
