Boat skills classes set by Elyria Parks and Recreation

District hearing draws 121 for Ohio hunting rules debate
Despite miserable weather 121 residents attended the District Three hearing on Ohio hunting and fishing proposals at Megadore. Most state proposals won hunter approval though longbow and crossbow grouping was disputed leading to separate season listings while muzzle loader supporters pressed for a Saturday primitive weapons hunt. Public notices also announced an upcoming American Canadian Outdoor Show at Cleveland March 1928 with diverse attractions and a hunter safety course in Lorain County on Feb 15 to March 8.

Beaver harvest in District Three falls in 1981 82
Lowered interest in beaver trapping appears to explain the drop in the 1981 82 harvest for Wildlife District Three. Pelts tagged last year totalled 2 536, this season 2 157 were tagged at checking stations. Medina County had eight last year but none this season, while Wayne County increased from 14 to 23.
