The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio granted Ohio Edison a about 26 percent rate increase, adding roughly $32.5 million in annual revenue and 15 cents more per day to average bills. The deal ends nine months of talks with 22 cities including Elyria Lorain and Brunswick and becomes effective about six weeks after approval, likely by late March.

Chicago El crash kills 11 in Loop derailment
A Ravenswood line six car train collided with an eight car Lake Dan Bean train near Wa bash and Lake Street in Chicago sending cars and passengers onto the street.
