Education funding plan faces court review in Perry County

The proposal would raise about 585 million for schools via tax increases and save roughly 100 million by cutting other areas. The Supreme Court gave Ohio until March 24 to equalize funding and end property tax reliance. If approved by Perry County Common Pleas Judge Linton Lewis, the decision could be appealed to the Supreme Court. If voters reject, courts may be urged to accept progress since 1991 suit.
