Beached 900-pound sperm whale moved to Marineland for care
A battered and ill 900-pound pygmy sperm whale found on a Rancho Palos Verdes beach was placed in a salt water tank at Marineland in a bid to save its life. Marineland officials gave the mammal a 50 50 chance of survival and four trainers will monitor and guide it through the night as they attempt to feed it.
