Frontier Hotel Strike Ends After 61 Years of Picketing

In Las Vegas the Culinary Union ends its six year walkout at the Frontier now New Frontier after Phillip Ruffin buys the property for 167 million. Gov. Bob Miller and Rev. Jesse Jackson join the ceremony as 550 strikers return home with promises of back pay and new wages.

Airline sued over man's death in flight treatment failure

Jamie Somes files a federal suit in Boston alleging United Airlines failed to provide life saving medical equipment on board when her husband Steven Somes suffered a heart attack on a Boston to San Francisco flight in October 1995. The suit argues a portable defibrillator could have saved him. United says it is reviewing appropriate medical equipment.
