Man Pleads Guilty to Assault and Is Placed on Probation
John McCleese, 37, of 1234 West Ninth St in Lorain, was indicted for assault with a dangerous weapon but pleaded guilty to assault and battery. He was placed on probation yesterday on the recommendation of the Lorain County prosecutor's office and Judge LeRoy F. Kelly approved the plea.

McCarthy Promoted at The Northern Savings and Loan

He and his wife Marion, a former Lorain County music supervisor, have seven children.

A jury refused workmen's compensation to Gordon Lock of 441 Windsor Dr in a suit against the Ohio bureau and Elyna Driving School owner Charles F Law. Lock, a driving instructor, said he was giving a diving lesson when the car lost control on Ri 234 on May 9 1963 and rolled over. The case was heard before Leman County Common Pleas Judge John D Pincura.
