Washington reports a sharp split over anti strike legislation as Republicans and southern Democrats back the Case bill while some urge a more moderate version. Supporters hope the Case bill or a similar measure passes the House and faces a Senate hurdle and possible presidential signature. opponents vow to fight any weakening of the bill.
Grade one pupil George Collier Jr. selected Miss Margaret Wright as his Bermuda trip tutor after the boy’s parents urged the idea at Granville school. The family will cover expenses as they travel with the teacher to Rey mura where Mr Callie, a former service member, manages a hotel.
Krebs a well known plumber and heating contractor and Man Calkins in heating ventilating and refrigeration have formed Krebs Calkins Inc a new corporation authorized to issue 100 shares of no par value stock. Incorporators are Krebs Kathleen Vaughn and Frank A Stetson with Stetson named attorney for the corporation. The company will sell and install plumbing ventilating air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.

Names include Jack Edward Gulati, Ralph Stuart Hammerman, Allan Clement Sonith, Walter Scott Cook, Charles Reward Davit Grafton, Frank Muha, Avan Lake, Robert Leal Marlin, William Joseph Kutter, and Nick Tassie among others. New registrations appear for those reclassed or newly listed at various districts and addresses.
New York report says Harry Hopkins death halted work on his memoirs. Harper & Brothers plans to finish and publish by next fall with two research assistants. The book will include recollections of Hopkins with Franklin D Roosevelt and possibly material Roosevelt might have included. Three persons were injured when an auto crashed into a loading platform in Cincinnati. Hainer Erafest, 30, of Milford, the driver, faced charges of reckless driving and operating a vehicle without a license. Also named were Stamim F Griswold, 20, of Lebanon, and Wal am White, 20, of Newtonsville.
