Adam Wright Lorain Dan Given returns to the at large council seat he vacated to serve as safety service director earlier this month. A majority of the 41 Democratic Party Precinct Committee members chose Given over two other candidates with final tally not released. Joel Arredondo was also picked to fill the council president position left open after Ken Shawver moved to a deputy post in Mayor Krasienko’s administration. Given was re elected to a second term in November before resigning to oversee city departments and emergency personnel. He announced on Jan 18 that he would be stepping back toward council duties.
