Oberlin students welcomed back from rediscovery trip
About 50 Oberlin College students returned from a month long rediscovery of the underground railroad. They were greeted on Hamilton Street before heading to Hall Auditorium where City Manager Sherry Suttles presented a key to the city. Emil Danenberg planned to speak at the auditorium.

Four Greensboro sit in at Woolworths 20 years later
In Greensboro North Carolina four black men Joseph McNeil David Richmond Franklin McCain and Jihree Khazan sat for breakfast at Woolworths to commemorate the 1960 sit in that sparked desegregation of lunch counters. Dozens of reporters watched as Mayor Jim Melvin greeted the group and McCain recalled the eerie feelings of that day and the progress since then.
