Ohio Real Estate Tax Relief Pushed By Kurfess
Ohio House Speaker Charles F. Kurfess announced a 10 percent across the board reduction in real estate taxes, to begin with the second half 1971 bills due mid 1972, despite reappraisals or a 35 percent true value levy order by the Board of Tax Appeals. He said the legislature will require minimum local millage cuts to offset the BTA directive and may push further to shield utility and tangible personal property taxes.
