Admiral King Elementary Reopens After Gas Leak
Admiral King Elementary in Lorain officially reopens after a two month closure due to a gas leak beneath the gym. An unofficial open house Tuesday drew families including Nichole and Abigail Evans. Abigail attended Garfield Elementary after the October 30 closing, with other students from the 350 pupil school reassigned to Toni Morrison and Washington elementary schools. The gas well was drilled in 1956 and capped in 1984. the district says it was finally capped Friday.
