Aerial Glacier Watching Study Under NSF Grant
Scientists at Ohio State University will use an aerial glacier watching method this winter to measure glacier movement in Antarctica. The $24,700 NSF grant funds the project as a step toward determining if Antarctica’s ice is growing or shrinking. Traditional triangular data methods fail here due to the lack of bedrock visibility beneath the ice.
