CYO Christmas Classic: St. Mary Wins Class C Title
Elyria Avon St. Mary captured the Class C championship at Lorain County Community College, defeating Lorain St. Peter 20 to 12. St. Mary led 15 to 3 at halftime and held on as Brian Caco and Ken Smith scored seven points each. Consolation games saw Lorain St. Vincent take third in Class A with 38 30 over Avon Holy Trinity, while Elyria St. Jude Green won Class C third with 17 16 over Bay Village St. Raphael. North Ridgeville St. Peter topped Elyria St. Jude White 17 14 in the consolation final. The night program featured Class B and A games with St. Vincent versus Avon Lake St. Joseph and Sheffield Lake St. Thomas against Elyria St. Jude White slated for 5 6 15 start times.
