Ridgeville to close fire station for 24 days next year
North Ridgeville plans shut down of the Butternut Ridge Road fire station for 24 days in the coming year due to a new wage agreement adding three holidays and five personal days. Fire Chief Robert Dreger says this could delay response times for south of the Penn Central tracks, with the 18-man department operating on three six-man shifts.

Hot lunches for senior citizens will be served daily noon to 1 PM at Lincoln Elementary School Lorain in a small classroom near the cafeteria.
