Lab makes rare anti cancer agents in unlimited supply
New class of natural human anti cancer agents can now be produced in the lab in unlimited quantities. Lymphotoxin and tumor necrosis factor, previously obtainable only in tiny amounts, directly attack tumor cells while sparing normal cells. Genentech researchers say these findings, reported in Nature, hold potential for human cancer therapy.

Birth by a one time sex change patient shocks doctors
A 26 year old woman born intersex and raised as a boy has given birth to a healthy son in Northampton England. Doctors Sir John Dewhurst and Ronald Gordon reported the birth in The Lancet noting the patient underwent sex change at age four after male hormone exposure. The child has typical female chromosomes and reproductive organs.
