Two Americans held by Russians for more than two years were released in Berlin. Pvt. Homer H. Cox from Oklahoma City and Leland H. Towers from San Francisco were handed over at Karlshorst by Soviet authorities. Cox had been missing since Sept 22, 1949 while Towers disappeared in 1951 in Finland.
