Former LifeCare CEO acquitted in high profile case
Former LifeCare chief executive David Richards was found not guilty of felony theft and records tampering by Lorain County Common Pleas Judge James Miraldi after a 13 day bench trial. The judge said the state failed to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt and praised the defense. Richards cried as supporters celebrated. The case exposed tensions within LifeCare including IT director Richard Pozywak and chief operating officer Kim Mason.
