Pastor Stephen Carmany to retire after 35 years at United Church

The United Church of Huntington will bid farewell to pastor Stephen Carmany after 35 years leading the congregation founded in 1847. He moved from Southern California after feeling a calling to rural ministry and oversaw growth from about 60 to roughly 135 weekly attendees with a 2001 expansion. The church sits on Route 58, four and a half miles south of Wellington, serving Lorain, Huron, Medina and Ashland counties.
