Sitter indicted in toddler death in Ohio case
Damien Hiley, 21, was indicted by a Cuyahoga County grand jury on murder and related charges for the death of Nicolas Shaw, a 2 year old killed after alleged blunt force injuries. The boy died after being cared for by Hiley at a Lorain County home and transported to hospitals. Nicolas attended Horizon Activities Center day care and his mother Candice Shaw was at work when the incidents occurred. Hiley’s defense cites two separate accidents as causes of injuries. The coroner ruled the injuries more severe than two bruises indicate.
