America's Cup to be shown at Cleveland Boat Show
The America's Cup will be on display January 21 to 24 at the Cleveland Mid-America Boat Show, part of a larger event January 18 through 27 featuring over 1,200 sail and power boats and 450 marine accessories. Admission runs 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays, with adult tickets at $6.50 and children 12 and under $2.75. The Cup measures 27 inches high, crafted from 134 ounces of sterling silver. Tiffany added a seven-inch chase in 1958, insured at $250,000. Show manager Norman Schultz notes visitors may photograph the Cup and family with it. The piece remains priceless despite insurance.
