A semi jackknifed on I 90 near Route 611 backing up traffic for hours. ODOT mobilized 100 crews across eight counties and Vermilion issued a Level One snow emergency with street parking bans.

Elyria police report Jay Ream used a sword to frighten off a burglar at his Georgia Avenue home around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. He was in the basement doing laundry when he heard a loud crash and saw a door thump. He grabbed a sword and challenged the intruder.
