Lorain man charged after dog beating and family violence
A Lorain man, 44, was charged with cruelty to animals and domestic violence after allegedly beating a poodle with a snow scraper during a confrontation at the Meadow Lane home. His girlfriend said he also assaulted her and the daughter, while denying shoving them. the dog reportedly has a serious attitude problem. He was jailed without bond and set for Lorain Municipal Court.

High school instructors join with college professors in grant plan
