Dig for transport terminal unearths artifacts
San Francisco archaeologists uncover about 70 items from the mid to late 1880s at the Transbay Transit Center dig. Finds include opium pipes from a Chinese laundry, a chipped chamber pot, porcelain teapots, perfume bottles, and doll heads from Yerba Buena Cove era residents, with photos and documents detailing the period.
