Tugboat aground near Valdez causes diesel sheen spill
A 136 foot tug Pathfinder ran aground near Bligh Reef in Prince William Sound. Officials halted diesel pumping after a new sheen appeared, estimated 50 feet by one mile, with six fishing vessels and Coast Guard units skimming fuel. Titan Marine to tow the tug to Valdez once pumping completes. No wildlife impacts reported.
