NORAD keeps Santa tracking tradition alive at Cheyenne Mountain
NORAD and staff volunteers continued the Santa tracking custom on Christmas Eve from Cheyenne Mountain Colorado Springs. About 120 off duty personnel answered thousands of questions from curious kids and parents while NORAD’s site logged 70 million hits and 2,300 emails from 32 countries by 11 p.m. A volunteer noted Santa is alive in hearts and Venable reassured listeners that Santa is not lactose intolerant, suggesting water for Santa if needed.
