Ford sees Volvo sale to Geely finalized in early next year

Michaels Stores Inc will shutter its craft store on Midway Boulevard in Elyria on January 30. The Avon location remains open as the company realigns its store portfolio, citing annual strategic decisions and past openings in 2009. The Elyria store offered floral, home decor, scrapbooking and painting supplies. Officials did not comment, but a press email outlined the planned closure.

Court Bans Sale of Word Infringes i4i Patent
A federal appeals court upheld a lower court ruling that Microsoft Word infringed i4i patent and must stop selling Word and pay 290 million dollars. The injunction takes effect January 11, with prior Word and Office versions unaffected.
