Man pleads guilty to bank robbery in Columbia Township

Robert M. Bey, 32, of North Olmsted, pleaded guilty to a federal bank robbery charge for the Oct. 15 theft at FirstMerit Bank in Columbia Township. He demanded money, received 3,669 dollars, including bait bills and a dye pack, and fled in his father’s Ford Contour. Police halted a high speed chase on Interstate 271 for public safety. Bey faces possible prison time with sentencing set for next year.

Lorain HighTeacher Indicted on DUI and Drug Charges
