Paul E. Grimm 56 of Colorado, a general manager for Oil Services Co of Iran, was killed in a machine gun attack as he drove in Ahvaz. A simultaneous shooting of Iranian manager Malek Borujerdi occurred nearby. Grimm had faced prior threats and had told reporters of a warning to leave Iran.

Ex Elyrian dies in two car crash near Franklin County
A 19 year old former Elyria resident David L. Wright of Delaware and a three year old, Charles Levings, died from injuries after a two car crash on U.S. Route 23 just north of the Franklin County line. Colen A. Burns, 17, of Marion, was injured and hospitalized. The crash occurred when Burns apparently fell asleep at the wheel and crossed the center line. Wright's background and surviving relatives are listed. funeral services to be announced by Carter Funeral Home in Elyria.
