The 46 year old Sandusky man Frank William Hayes was struck by a car driven by Ronald P. Roskilly 25 of 589 Highbridge Rd Vermilion while walking eastbound on East Liberty Avenue near the Erie County line. Hayes died at Lorain St Joseph Hospital. No charges filed. Hayes had moved to Vermilion a week earlier and worked for West Plumbing and Heating. He lived at Namikom Sands and his family remained in Sandusky.
