Weygandt Reverses Plan. Stays on Ohio Supreme Court

Chief Justice Carl V. Weygandt announced he will remain on the Ohio Supreme Court after submitting a resignation on November 2. He cited administrative burdens and his wife's illness but said talks with Governor Lausche and bar leaders influenced his decision to continue in his 22nd year on the bench. The salary remains at 12 300 a year for the current term, with postterm raises from a 1951 law not applying during this term.
