Virgo was in custody on a murder warrant as the inquest proceeded.

Washington December 23 Senator Freylinghuysen Republican New Jersey chairman of the Senate committee investigating the coal situation declares there must have been a secret deal in addition to the signed statement and warns the public may face higher coal prices or another strike. The Palmer Palmer questions and the disputed settlement terms keep the controversy unsettled after Christmas as the government weighs its next action with operators delaying talks in Cleveland.
Local banks in Elyria will close mid afternoon tomorrow for regular observance. Citizens planning fund withdrawals should come in the morning to ensure access, as afternoon service will be unavailable.
Columbus December 22 The State Supreme Court by implication upholds its prior ruling that a motion picture exhibit on Sunday is illegal. The decision affects exhibitors including Harry W. Kress of Pickaway who appealed his conviction for performing on Sunday under the Sunday laws.
