Wellington Church forms children's unit "We Kirk" dedication
The Rev. Jerry Symonds organized a new children's church named "We Kirk" in Wellington for elementary students. About 60 children are expected as charter members with adult directors guiding deacons and trustees, while three junior ministers conduct services. The program aims to build church identity, responsibility, and worship, with dedication planned in the regular church.

The St. Peter's United Church church school Christmas program in Amherst is set for Sunday at 7:30 p.m. directed by Glor ia Olton and Hulda Berger with a Noel Moderne pageant by Jay Franklin Eberege. Nursery to senior high participants include songs recitations and a narrator. A Christmas Cantata The Babe of Bethlehem by Bernard Hamblen stars four guest soloists and is performed at 11 p.m. Christmas Eve with the Senior and Chancel Choirs and Congregational Church Choir.

The Farm Bureau Council 4B delivered a National Geographic magazine subscription to the Keith Buchs family in Lebanon. At the Christmas party on Wednesday night the group voted to contribute 5 to teach people in foreign lands the value of hybrid seed corn. The party included a gift exchange.

Candles of Christmas Program Planned by Avon Sunday School
Avon Children of the Faith Lutheran Church Sunday school will present Candles of Christmas Monday at 7 30 p m at Avon Elementary School. Younger children will tell the Christmas story in song and verse under supervisors. Older children will explain and light Candles of Christmas with scripture readings by named participants. The Rev W A Bohlman will give a brief message and the program will end with a meditation from Silent Night.
