Large blaze hits Olsen Co. equipment storage area. Firemen say flames began near the pile center and spread through multiple pallet stacks. About 150 pallets, each four by five feet and four inches thick, were involved. Fire crews battled the fire for about ninety minutes with limited water output.
Seven September graduates of MLB Johnson School of Nursing at Eixra Memorial Hospital received certificates to practice as registered nurses in Ohio. The Board of Nursing Education and Nurse Registration Examination in Columbus awarded the certificates in mid October to Mary Jane Brown Alice Fertig Hover Ruth M Kari Patricia A Kebbleher Carol Peterson Linscon Mary Ann Pileski and Patricia K Bump.
Baybridge Rey Bolcurm formerly second in command at the Bay Bridge Post of the State Highway Patrol has been promoted to corporal and will become officer in charge of the Xenia Post on January 1. Saturday was his last day at Baybridge before a two week vacation. Corp Koleum, a 25 year patrol veteran from Huren, serves in the patrol.
