A Sunny South Troupe comedy and musical revue, featuring about twenty performers of color, promises strong laughs and lively dance. The production, billed from coast to coast as a top novelty, debuts at the Rialto on Monday December 26 with humor, song, and energetic routines designed to entertain all audiences.
A Wednesday December 21, 1921 review notes a vaudeville bill that rivals top acts with a varied program. The concert includes a celeste duo, a drum and horn band, and a soulful archett act. Seats go on sale Saturday.
Henriettta ill nemo pneumonia illnesses noted. The Christimas entertainments at both churches will be held Saturday evening. The schools hold Xmas entertainments Friday afternoon and close for a one week vacation December 28. Mrs Nicolia Bauman bored Saturday. Henry Menson London radiographer and vape expert demonstrated a simple X ray method using metallic tape as a conductor. A long distance current could be sent to treatment with an insulated copper plate over the patient, avoiding skin burns, in a procedure led by Mr Menson. In Chicago, Archbishop Edward Hoban was consecrated as archbishop with Roman Catholic rituals of note.
Washington Dec 21 The New York Central Railroad asked the Interstate Commerce Commission for authority to issue 2247S shares of its capital stock to acquire control of the Chicago and St Louis Big Four. The plan proposes payment in NYC stock for all Big Four common stock and a portion in five percent preferred stock. The application states NYC would own about 847 million common and 169 million preferred Big Four shares, with existing holdings of Big Four stock noted.
