Ohio professor presents Indohyus as whale ancestor link
An Ohio anatomy professor argues Indohyus, a raccoon-sized deer-like animal from India’s Kashmir, is a missing link between land mammals and cetaceans. The composite skeleton shows thickened ear bones and teeth indicative of water feeding and early whale traits, challenging hippo-based origin theories and inviting further testing.
