Tragic Tampa murder after night screams go unanswered
Neighbors heard screams and two shots in the early hours but did not call authorities. Seven hours later a resident found Barbra Duclos’s battered body buried in a shallow grave in a vacant lot in north Tampa. Investigators searched for clues as police noted the failed call might not have saved her, while autopsy results were withheld.
