Twenty six bodies recovered after the Samellin seed King sank in the North River amid ice floes. Three bodies found near the ice, three at Edgewater, and twenty in the cabin of the submerged craft. Officials estimate another death toll but details remain uncertain.
The suspect described as six feet tall and around 180 pounds wearing a gray suit and brown shoes was arrested last night. Officers stated two pliers were found in his pocket and he threatened to shoot, as a small group of men attempted to detain him.
Inmates of the county home will be guests at a Christmas party on Wednesday evening. Entertainer H R Raus is arranging a program for the older folks. The event will be funded by the Hyeamilion fund with gifts planned to accompany the entertainment.

Edward Hromoda received a 5000 judgment in common pleas court against Joseph Hazzard of Lorain after being struck by a car on Broadway in Lorain. Hromoda's four month hospital stay and extensive expenses were cited. Hazzard was not present for trial.
A half million dollar blaze in Flint Michigan injured nine firemen and threatened the business district. The Monterey cafe and a four story building and the Barnes store a three story structure were damaged, with minor damage to the nearby Smithams Bridgeman building.

Jealousy motive cited by police in the tragedy at an apartment. Mrs Ingersoll shot Probasco with a .32 caliber pistol as he left the room, then killed herself.
