Two Lorain men face federal opioid trafficking charges
Manuel Latorre, 26, of Lorain, is named in a two count indictment for possessing more than 9 grams of carfentanyl this year with intent to sell. Tony Carter, 28, of Elyria, faces a federal complaint for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and heroin. Authorities say the arrests strengthen public safety in Lorain County.

Elyrian Chosen as Grand Master of Ohio Masons
Elyria native Eric Schau was installed as grand master for the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio. He is the third Elyria lodge member to hold the post following Samuel Squires in 1932 and John McKahan in 1990. Schau said the honor surpassed his expectations.
