Elyria Sets Next Year Tax At 20.50 Mills
Elyria will levy 20.50 mills for 1949, a three tenths mill reduction from the current rate, announced by County Auditor Frank Ayres. The tax equals 20.50 dollars per thousand valuation, with an outlook of a favorable balance in the general fund. The drop stems from lower debt retirement demands and is built on a formula within the 10 mill limit.
